Basic Function Primary responsibility of this position is to lead the purchasing activities for projects in coordination with the Project Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Help prospect and qualify vendors.
Initiate, receive and review proposals in coordination with the Project Manager and Director of Purchasing.
Participate in and coordinate purchasing negotiations with the Director of Purchasing/Technical Lead Buyer/Purchasing Director.
Coordinate and assemble all documents (technical documents, confidentiality agreements, vendor contracts, legal, administrative and commercial documents) required to place an order.
Prepare, track, document and file Purchase & Change Orders and legal contracts per Company guidelines.
Coordinate and manage the official signatures of Purchase Orders and vendor contracts.
Works closely with the Project Manager in all aspects of purchasing functions.
Works closely with Corporate Finance to ensure that vendor invoices are accurate, coded and approved prior to payment.
Assists with the development and completion of project cost updates and forecasts.


Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or 5 + years related experience and/or training.

Language Skills
Proficiency in French is strongly preferred and Spanish is desirable.

Computer Skills
Basic spreadsheet skills, intermediate word processing skills required. Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office experience required. Oracle operating system experience preferred.
